Champagne industry shifts to lighter bottles with new tech

Champagne Telmont has introduced a new, lighter 800g bottle after years of research, reducing the standard weight by 35g to lower carbon emissions associated with glass production and transportation. Telmont is sharing this technology openly, aiming for industry-wide adoption to significantly cut CO2 emissions, advocating that sustainability should be a collective responsibility rather than a competitive edge.
