WTO dispute panel established to rule on Canadian aircraft subsidies

At the request of Brazil, the WTO’s Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) agreed on 29 September to establish a panel to examine whether various government support measures provided to the Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier are compatible with WTO subsidy rules. The DSB also formally adopted the panel report, as amended by the Appellate Body, in Indonesia’s challenge to European Union anti-dumping duties on imports of fatty alcohol.
