DG Azevêdo urges WTO members to deepen discussions to advance negotiating work

At a meeting of all WTO members today (30 September), Director-General Roberto Azevêdo urged members to deepen discussions towards scoping out possible outcomes for the WTO’s 11th Ministerial Conference (to be held at the end of 2017), and to focus their minds on how those outcomes can be achieved. He also reported on a range of recent consultations, including at the G20 leaders’ summit in Hangzhou and the UN General Assembly in New York.
