China seeks special consideration for SMEs in anti-dumping, countervailing probes

WTO members voiced their initial views on a Chinese proposal calling on investigating authorities to give special consideration to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) targeted in anti-dumping and countervailing probes. Members also continued reviewing a European Union proposal aimed at improving WTO disciplines on the notification of subsidies. The two proposals were discussed at 11 October informal meetings of the WTO’s Negotiating Group on Rules (NGR).
