CARICOM Chairman continues regional outreach with visit to The Bahamas

(Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana)- Chairman of CARICOM, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, met with the Prime Minister of The Bahamas, Hon. Philip Davis, and members of his Cabinet as he continued his outreach to the Community on Wednesday, 18 February in Nassau, The Bahamas.
The During the engagement, the Chairman held “frank and forward-looking discussions, focused on the pressing issues affecting the Region,” with Prime Minister Davis and his team.
“As Chairman, I believe these face-to-face engagements are critical. Consensus cannot be built from a distance. It requires dialogue, trust, and shared purpose,” the CARICOM Chair said in an invited comment.

“I look forward to welcoming Prime Minister Davis and our regional colleagues to St. Kitts and Nevis from February 24-27 as we continue the work of advancing a stronger, more united Caribbean,” he added.
Since assuming office as Chairman, Prime Minister Drew has had face‑to‑face engagements with the Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Dr. the Hon. Godwin Friday; Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Hon. Gaston Browne; Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Hon. Kamla Persad-Bissessar; Prime Minister of Dominica, Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit; and the Prime Minister of Grenada, Hon. Dickon Mitchell.
The 50th Regular Meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government is scheduled for 24–27 February.
