CARICOM Chair and Secretary-General make courtesy visit on new SVG Prime Minister

Today, 20 January, CARICOM Chair and Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, the Hon. Dr Terrance Drew joined Secretary-General Dr Carla Barnett in St Vincent for a courtesy visit on Dr the Hon. Godwin Friday, Prime Minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines. Ministers, permanent secretaries and government officials from both countries were in attendance. During the meeting, the leaders underscored the challenges facing the Region but recognised the important role of CARICOM in addressing them. The upcoming 50th Regular Meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government which takes place in St Kitts and Nevis, 24-27 February formed a key part of the discussions. Prime Minister Friday was also briefed on the agenda items and key issues ahead of next month’s meeting.







Yesterday, CARICOM Secretary-General Dr Barnett met with the Hon. Dwight Fitzgerald Bramble, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and Diaspora Affairs and key officials of the Ministry.
