Azevêdo: Helping MSMEs to trade is vital for sustainable development

Speaking at an Informal Dialogue on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) held at the WTO on 29 June, Director-General Roberto Azevêdo highlighted that MSMEs face greater barriers than larger players when dealing with the challenges posed by trading across borders. He outlined some of the ideas members have put forward to tackle these obstacles and stressed that helping MSMEs to join trade flows in greater numbers would be a focus of discussions during the forthcoming Global Review of Aid for Trade in July.
