Minister Symonette Brings Opening Remarks at Bahamas Economic Outlook

BEO 2018 addressed the pros and cons of a rapidly digitizing world

Royal Fidelity hosted its fourth annual Bahamas Economic Outlook (BEO) on Tuesday, January 30th, 2018 under the theme “Economic Integration or Disintegration”.

Michael Anderson, Royal Fidelity President, explained in the run-up to the event that this year’s BEO was intended to help Bahamian business owners and community leaders recognize the potential of the rapidly changing environments technology has produced and help them to create a plan to take advantage of it.

Speakers included Minister of Financial Services, Trade and Industry, and Immigration the Hon. Brent Symonette; Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of The Future Hunters Erica Orange; oil and natural gas expert Dr. Kent Moors; and the lead of Cooley’s financial technology practice, Marco Santori who were all tasked with addressing the pros and cons of integration in a rapidly digitizing world.
