Chamber of Commerce Offers End-of-Summer Membership Promotion

According to the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation (BCCEC), there is no better way to close 2017 and get the new year off to a positive start than by joining its membership.

The good news is that the BCCEC is offering all members of the Bahamas Trade Information Portal a 50% discount on their first year’s annual membership fee.

BCCEC Promotes and Facilitates Trade and Commerce

The BCCEC felt that it was important to offer registrants of the Bahamas Trade Information Portal a membership discount as part of its overall mandate to promote and facilitate trade and commerce in The Bahamas. “The promotion and facilitation of trade and commerce is a significant part of the mandate of the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation, and to a large extent the growth and development of the economy are based on cross-border trade and commercial activities,” said Edison Sumner, Chief Executive of the BCCEC.

“As a member of the BCCEC, you will have the opportunity, not only to participate on the Trade Portal but also to be actively engaged in the process of influencing the policies and procedures that lead to many of the trade agenda initiatives of The Bahamas,” he added.

The average cost of membership depends on the type and number of employees your business has. Most small business memberships fall into the $18-$33 per month range, with annual membership fees starting at $215.

The Bahamas Trade Information Portal is a collaboration between the BCCEC and Ministry of Financial Services. It is an online one-stop-shop to provide easy access to essential international business and trade data. It also offers increased online exposure and marketing of Bahamian products and services.
