Central Bank Offers Online Services

The Central Bank of The Bahamas, through its Exchange Control Department, is now accepting online applications. Using the Bank’s secure online platform, businesses can now submit online applications for the following: 

• Foreign Currency Financing
• Resident Designation
• Approved Resident Status

Who May Apply?

Law Firms, Financial & Corporate Service Providers and Resident and Resident Designated Businesses, Banks etc. who are seeking access to foreign currency financing, whether through equity, unsecured debt, or secured debt may apply.

What Information is Required for the Application Process?

Applicants can expect feedback within (5) working days and will be required to provide the following information:

• Businesses’ constitutional documents
• Activities of the business
• Other specified due diligence information
