CARICOM Chairman continues regional outreach with visit to Guyana

(Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) – Chairman of CARICOM, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, continued his regional outreach with a visit to Guyana on Saturday, 21 February, ahead of the 50th Regular Meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government.
While in Guyana, the Chairman held discussions with the President of Guyana, His Excellency Dr. Irfaan Ali, and members of his team at State House.

Prime Minister Drew described the meetings as “fruitful,” noting that CARICOM Heads will continue to advance the work of regional integration and togetherness at the 50th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government from 24–27 February in St. Kitts and Nevis.
The Chairman’s visit to Guyana forms part of his ongoing outreach to CARICOM Heads of Government since assuming office. He has held engagements with the Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Dr. the Hon. Godwin Friday; Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Hon. Gaston Browne; Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Hon. Kamla Persad‑Bissessar; Prime Minister of Dominica, Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit; Prime Minister of Grenada, Hon. Dickon Mitchell; Prime Minister of The Bahamas, Hon. Philip Davis; Prime Minister of Jamaica, Dr. The Most Hon. Andrew Holness; and Prime Minister of Barbados, Hon. Mia Mottley.
