The CARICOM Regional Energy Efficiency Building Code (CREEBC) is a model code designed to regulate minimum energy conservation requirements for new buildings. Developed with the goal of promoting efficiency and sustainable practices across the CARICOM region, this document addresses energy conservation in all key areas of a building’s design and operation, including:

  • Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Lighting and electrical power usage.
  • Water heating and other building systems.

The DCAD – CREEBC contains separate provisions for commercial buildings and residential buildings, ensuring requirements are tailored to the scale and use of the structure.
