The UK is considering expanding its Soft Drinks Industry Levy (SDIL) to include drinks with 4-5g of sugar per 100ml and removing exemptions for milk-based and plant-based drinks. This move aims to further reduce sugar consumption, as many drinks currently sit in a "levy-dodging" zone just under the current threshold.
