Canada contributes CAD 250,000 for food, animal and plant health standards

Canada is giving CAD 250,000 (approximately CHF 152,000) to support initiatives that strengthen sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) capacity in developing and least-developed countries through the Standards and Trade Development Facility (STDF). This contribution in 2025 will be key to bolster developing countries’ ability to become better integrated in world markets and uphold rules-based international trade, based on the STDF’s new Strategy for 2025-2030.
