The Canton Fair is China’s premier trade fair

The China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, was founded in the spring of 1957 and is held in Guangzhou every spring and autumn.

The Canton Fair is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the People’s Government of Guangdong Province and undertaken by China Foreign Trade Center. It is known as the first exhibition in China, the barometer and weather vane of China’s foreign trade.

Cumulative export transactions is about 1.5 trillion US dollars

Since its inception, the Canton Fair has experienced ups and downs without interruption. It has been successfully held for 131 sessions, and has established trade relations with more than 220 countries and regions around the world. The cumulative export transaction is about 1.5 trillion US dollars, and the cumulative number of overseas buyers is about 9 million. It has effectively promoted the trade exchanges and friendly exchanges between China and other countries in the world.
