It is no secret that Bahamians consume a large quantity of conch; so much it could be considered a national dish. The conch has deep-rooted origins and uses in the Bahamas but there are others the world over who appreciate the conch, its benefits, and its flavor.
Trouble was outside of dried conch and conch in its raw form, no other conch product exists in markets anywhere the globe over.
We thought there must be a way.
Phĭnda Roots Collaborations Ltd t/a PURE FLĀVA was created so we could enjoy conch umami conveniently and sustainably. It was designed for everyone- the home cook to the professional chef.
We believe our initial conch product line has the potential to 1. impact our local economy by providing direct local investment with employment opportunities, 2. be a very unique authentically Bahamian addition to the Food & Beverage options currently available locally and globally, and 3. significantly contribute to sustainability methods of this species for our country, while meeting consumer conch (seafood) demands and food preferences.
