Her Excellency Keva L. Bain, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, presented her Credentials to the President of the Swiss Confederation, H.E. Ms. Simonetta Sommaruga
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pleased to advise that Her Excellency Keva L. Bain, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, presented her Credentials to the President of the Swiss Confederation, H.E. Ms. Simonetta Sommaruga, on Tuesday, 23 June, 2020 at a formal ceremony at the Federal Palace in Bern, Switzerland. Also present was Ambassador Beatrice Schaer, Head of Protocol for Switzerland.
The President and the Ambassador discussed matters of mutual interest between the two countries, both of which are small states with substantial financial centres. They also discussed the experiences of both countries with respect to the COVID 19 Pandemic and the ongoing accession of The Bahamas to the World Trade Organization.
Ambassador Bain is based in Geneva Switzerland, where she serves concomitantly as the Permanent Representative of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to the United Nations Office and Other International Organizations in Geneva.
