These measures, both seen and unseen, include enhanced screening of passengers and electronic devices as well as heightened security standards for aircraft and airports.<\/p>\n<p>The Bahamas and 104 other countries globally are impacted by these new security measures.\u00a0 The enhanced security measures include but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enhancing overall passenger screening;<\/li>\n<li>Conducting heightened screening of personal electronic devices;<\/li>\n<li>Increasing security protocols around aircraft and in passenger areas; and<\/li>\n<li>Deploying advanced technology, expanding canine screening, and establishing additional preclearance locations globally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>As a result of the new measures, the travelling public is reminded to arrive\u00a0<u>3 hours ahead of time for US bound flights<\/u>.\u00a0 For persons travelling on early morning flights between 6:00am and 7:00am please note that the doors of the airport open to the public at 4:00am.
